Christie Cup Races Sat. 12th Sept 2009

 

Teviotdale Harriers held their first race of the season last Saturday. In the first race of the day for u/13 boys and girls, which consisted of one lap of the putting greens in Wilton Lodge Park,  Lisa Thomson crossed the winning line first in the time of 4min 20sec, in second spot it was Mhairi Inglis who crossed the line in 4min 23sec, and in third spot it was Iben Mcmillan who crossed the line in 4min 30sec.  In the boys race Morgan Tait was first over the line in the time of 4min 29sec, closely followed by Harry Marshall who was only one second behind, in third place it was Calum Murray who also finished in 4min 30sec.

 

In the second race, for u/15 boys and u/15, u/17 girls and Sen ladies, run over two laps of the putting greens it was Eilidh Inglis took the spoils winning in the time of 9min 34sec, in second place in the time of 9min 54sec it was mum Donna Inglis, and in third spot was Pam Paxton in the time of 9min 57sec.  In the u15 boys race Keith Learmonth romped home in first spot in the time of 9min 35sec, closely followed by Dylan Mitchell in the time of 9min 38sec, and in third place it was Charlie Marshall who finished in the time of 10min 20sec.

 

With the Sen mens race covering 3,000 [over 4 laps], it was club captain Raymond Jaffray who won but only just, with Alan Inglis only one second behind, Raymond’s wining time was 12min 29 sec, and in third spot it was Ian Williams in the time of 12min 46sec.
